This season is all about checks. Be it houndstooth, gingham, plaid or tartan they’re all going to score you serious fashion points and are so easy to wear. For the more sartorially brave you can mix and match them or like Wendy and I just use them to give a new season twist to your every day basics.
For some women coming to terms with the menopause is like admitting you’re a old dried up hag. I didn’t feel like that. In fact it took me a while to have any emotions about it. I think I was in shock and busy dealing with my symptoms. If anything I would make fun of it and tell everyone. It seemed ridiculous and like a bad joke
There was once a section of our wardrobes purely reserved for leopard, but this season it has had to move aside to make room for a safari’s worth of different animal prints. From tiger to zebra to snake and lizard, animal print is here in a BIG way in every shape and form.
Once upon a time corduroy would have only been reserved for country folk and geography teachers but fast forward to Autumn 2018 and the biggest designers and fashion influencers are dripping in it. Thanks to Celine’s pale pink offerings last season the whole high street is a wash with it now too. For Wendy and I we couldn’t be happier as it offers a great alternative to our biker jackets and jeans which we live in at this time of year.
You all know by now that we’re passionate about natural, vegan and cruelty-free products. Maria Nila is100% vegan haircare, developed and produced in Sweden so I jumped at reviewing this hair care brand. In the usual Scandi way the packaging is desirable too with its graphic print and perfectly chosen colour palette.
I’ll be the first to admit I’ve never thought of myself as a huge Queen fan but this movie blew me away. Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury. Freddie defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet and after watching this movie I can see why.
This is just in case you’ve forgotten or missed TED TALKS. TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. I use it if I need any inspiration and you can start by looking at their 25 Most Popular.I showed my stepdaughter Looks aren't everything. Believe me I'm a model when she was comparing herself to celebrities and models.
Too Good To Go is an amazing free app letting you save food that's too good to be thrown away. You can purchase a large box containing a selection of food for around £3 and collect it from the restaurant or shop the very same day. It works off of your post code and the distance you enter and you’ll be amazed by the vast variety of food available. From sushi to bakeries you can really find everything on there. As it’s World Vegan Day we’ve been trying some of the amazing Vegan restaurants collaborating with the app such as The Omni Collective. Delicious vegan food using locally sourced ingredients and perfect for freezing too!
