Sales season is upon us and as we haven’t yet had the weather to require full summer attire there are lots of bargains to be had. But the sales can often lead to impulsive fast fashion buys that get left at the back of the wardrobe. For me the sales are a prefect opportunity to invest in timeless staple pieces that will see me through to the next season too. Being a huge fan of monochrome this is a great time for me to stock up on the basics. During the summer I rely on white pieces a lot to give a fresh seasonal update to my greys, blacks and navies. When I saw that these Zara cropped flares had gone in to the sale I had to share them with you guys. Super chic with slip on sandals for summer they’re going to look just as great with ankle boots and a black roll neck for the winter months.
The sales are also a great time to invest in the more luxury items that you’ve had your eye on. Net A Porter and Matches are my go to websites during the sales season. Make sure you sign up to receive their email alerts as this will let you know when they have marked down to final clearance prices. Be sure to shop smart though and avoid buying anything you can’t outfit in three separate ways with your existing wardrobe. If you’re brave enough to take on the crowds and the bricks and mortar themselves, then my advice would be if you prefer the outfit that you’ve already got on then leave the one you’re considering behind. My mother’s advice has always served me well…. “if in doubt, leave it out”.
I’ve rounded up my sales star buys below.
Happy shopping x
