As the shops begin to fill with new season pieces and the temperatures outside feel near Baltic, it can often feel too soon to make a spring/summer purchase. This is a lesson I’ve learnt the hard way as so many times I've decided to hold on only to find that dream dress has sold out come spring.
So after purchasing this Free People polka dot cami dress last week I decided not to wait till temperatures warm up and made it work for me now. This is a look that I often swoon over when worn by Man Repeller and various other Fashion Editors at the shows but I wasn’t sure I was fashwaaan enough to pull it off. Ignoring the sniggers and “are you serious?” comments from my other half (this one might take a while for the boys to get) I styled my cami over some vintage look denim and a sweater and I loved it. The look feels fresh and current and above all I was able to showcase my new dress whilst keeping warm! Such a nice change from months spent wrapped up in cashmere and boots.
My obsession with split and fluted sleeve jumpers has reached new levels and I’ve stocked up a lot during the sales. This one from & Other Stories is made from the softest merino wool and adds a little fashion edge to what would otherwise be a standard grey polo neck. Great for days when you want to dress down but still look like you've made an effort. Also we need to talk about these Zara heels. White shoes and boots are going to be huge this year but you can grab them now here and here for less than half price. It’s a no brainer and the boots are on their way to me as we speak.
