There’s nothing I love more than when a trend that I’ve bought in to lasts for longer than a micro fashion season. What started with a boot obsession last winter has transcended in to a full blown colour obsession. Red is well an truly here to stay and is currently occupying around 50% of my wardrobe.
As you know Wendy and I love a red lip in the winter to lift our sun deprived skin and the same can also now be said for our wardrobes. On gloomy grey winter days a pop of cherry red in the form of a jumper, dress or accessory can be all that’s needed to lift our spirits. It’s as great at lifting pale skin as it is on sun drenched bodies it’s just about finding the right hue.
This cashmere blend sweater from H&M was an early purchase when the weather was still mild but I’m loving its chunky warmth now as it’s giving my leather jackets some slightly longer air time before the heavy coats come out to play. Teamed with dark wash denim and a statement earring it gives a slight nod to the 80s (which I’m reluctantly accepting is back in a major way).
This leather jacket was a great find from Topshop Boutique and by sizing up to a 14 it has that Acne feel without tipping me over the edge of my overdraft. The leather is super soft and the shape and details make it look way more luxury than its price tag.
