If you had told me a year ago that I'd be wearing red trousers during the day I'd have said you were crazy. But following on from my obsession with the Mango red boots, I have been loving the surprising lift a splash of poppy is giving to my every day wardrobe. Blame it on Pinterest if you will but since starting TGUE my sartorial choices have been becoming a lot braver and I'm totally embracing it. Now I'm not saying you'll see me in head to toe clashing prints any time soon but a splash of colour injected in to what is still essentially quite a laid back, monochrome look is raising my spirits no end.
As you're probably aware by now if you've stepped anywhere near a Zara, red and pink are a big deal this season. If like me the idea of wearing them together is a little too much then a great way to sport the trend is to keep everything else fairly neutral. My reflex instinct when wearing red is to reach for navy but by adding camel it keeps everything feeling much more fresh and modern. Such a nice break from jeans, I also love the sporty element these Autograph by M&S trousers have and can't wait to dress them up for an evening with a cashmere sweater and heels.
