Winter is always a season that Wendy and I welcome with open cashmere adorned arms. But as we approach the end of January our daily uniform of snuggly jumpers and denim is feeling a little repetitive and dull. A great way to get out of that sartorial rut is to dig out some of your summer pieces from the back of the wardrobe and layer them up. It's a great way of getting more wear from your lighter dresses and skirts and makes you feel that little bit closer to Spring.
Wendy's silk dress here is actually the one she wore to my wedding. She loves to get some wear out of it in the winter by layering it under a cream knit and it looks equally as gorgeous when worn with a chunky cardigan. I've gone for a more spring time print from ASOS but love how much these patent Topshop boots toughen it up and make it work overtime during the colder months. Below is some more Pinterest inspo on how to work those summer dresses right now. It's also a trend that works really well for comfortable maternity dressing as the bump continues to grow!
