We love an on-line shop and especially one with a story, Jimmy Fairly is no exception. For Antonin Chartier, the founder, the internet has long been a source of fascination. Beyond changing our way of buying, he was curious to see how far it could go to changing our way of giving. Settling on the eyewear industry as his target, he set about creating high-end glasses, bringing their prices down whilst maintaining quality levels. Nearly all the glasses are £99 and this includes lenses being fitted in opticals and sunglasses.

Jimmy Fairly glasses are cool, on-trend and don’t cost nearly as much as their designer rivals. You can receive as many as 4 pairs to try, delivered to your door at no cost (or you can pop in one of their stores). And this is only half the story. For each pair of Jimmy Fairly glasses bought on line, a pair is given to a child who would otherwise have little or no chance of improving their sight. Never has charitable giving been so chic.

Now the giving doesn’t stop here. If you create an account, every time you introduce someone to Jimmy Fairly and they make a purchase, they will receive £10 off their purchase, and so will you off your next pair. I discovered this after I purchased a pair of sunglasses. I then introduced my husband to the brand, he bought a pair of sunglasses and I bought a pair of opticals, we both received £10 off! 

At the minute there is one store on Regents Street in London, they plan to open 15 more stores in the next 12 months. So if you don’t want to buy on-line then keep an eye out, you won’t regret it!
