Fashion at Bicester Village
With a fast approaching wedding and a dress fitting in two weeks you can understand my panic (being a self confessed shoe addict) that I'm still yet to find my dream pair! So continuing with the hunt Wendy and I set off to the motherland last week and filtered through all that Bicester Village had to offer in a bid to find this Cinderella her perfect fit.
Unfortunately I was unsuccessful on my quest but we did leave with a whole host of other wonderful finds. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Bicester Village it's a shopping paradise for anyone who loves a designer purchase at a fraction of it's original price. We're talking Celine, Marni, Gucci and Prada at up to 70% off to name only a few. I get heart palpations just talking about the place and if I could live in this sartorial dreamland then I would honestly consider it. Go on a week day if you can and either arrive early or after 4pm to avoid the crowds. It's set out just like a real village with restaurants and cafes scattered throughout making it a really pleasant shopping experience. Only an hour from London by car or train from Marylebone doors open at 9am and close at 8pm. It was really hard to edit this post down as there are so many great brands on offer but below are some of our favourites.
My first stop which I aways make a beeline for is Celine. My fantasy brand that if money wasn't an issue I would be dressed in head to toe day in day out. A lot of the pieces here are still quite heavily out of my price range but if you dig around there are some really great bargains to be found. I got these great sunglasses for £145 reduced from £290 which is amazing as I've never seen this style even on sale before.
Gucci is one of the best visually merchandised stores at the village and doesn't feel like you're shopping in an outlet at all.
Every day would be a nice day with this super cute Anya bag.
So much fun to be had in the Fendi store and with 70% off a huge amount of their accessories. Really regretting not buying a bag charm.
We were both seriously tempted by the bucket bags in Mulberry. Only £400 down from £1000 they were an absolute dream buy.
These super cute Mickey Mouse ear coin purses by Coach were £49 from £95. Had it of been nearer to Christmas we would have definitely stocked up for gifts.
The nearest I came to finding my wedding shoes was at Jimmy Choo. I'd definitely recommend a trip here for any brides to be as they did have a great selection and these gorgeous classic stilettos were £175 down from £375.
If fashion's not your thing there are also plenty of amazing home and beauty brands to be found at Bicester too. Wendy will be filling you in on all of our faves with a blog post on Monday so stay tuned.
