9 organic skincare favourites
Increasingly, we want to know exactly what’s in those bottles, jars and tubs on our dressing tables or in our bathroom cupboards. While we all love a beautiful package, the most important part of the label is usually on the back. In tiny type. You guessed it… the ingredients list.
According to the Soil Association, the UK’s leading organic-certification body, the organic beauty and wellbeing sector grew 13 per cent in the last year. Brands are responding to demand and the variety of organic skincare and makeup products on offer has soared in recent years.
It can be over whelming researching the best cosmetics. All the products we have chosen are certified organic and have been tried and tested by us over a course of weeks. These cleansers, toners, moisturisers, creams and oils are generally part of larger skincare ranges, so we’ve picked our favourites.

This gentle plant-based mist, extracted from grapes, works to sooth, refresh and moisturise the skin anytime, anywhere, whilst also reducing sensitivity. It can also be used as a toner.
BOTANYBLEND Organic Vega Face Oil £52.00
Probably the best facial oil I've found, all of them. Vega facal oil rehydrates and promotes the regeneration of healthy, fresh skin cells. They're high in antioxidants and essential fatty acids which maintain moisture balance, firm, plump and enhance the skin’s elasticity, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while vitamin E blocks free radicals which cause premature ageing.
KEWEKŌ Calming moisturiser £42.00
This is what I use in the evenings, although in the winter months I use it morning and night. It's super moisturising and allows your skin to strengthen its natural elasticity with this mix of organic and natural ingredients. This calming moisturiser uplifts the spirit by adding moisture and radiance to your skin. This nourishing blend of rosemary, sweet almond and lavender absorbs easily and leaves a supple, plump, fresh complexion.
INTELLIGENT NUTRIENTS - Revitalising Moisture Cream £45.00
This is my go-to for a lighter moisturiser in the morning or summer months. It will add radiance and moisture back to any skin type. Dry & mature skin will particularly benefit from this collation of pure ingredients. Great for reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
PAI - Comfrey & Calendula Calming Body Cream £22.00
This is an intensely hydrating and therapeutic cream that calms and soothes dehydrated skin. The anti-inflammatory properties of calendula and the healing powers of comfrey will soothe and regenerate aggravated and dry skin.
GREEN PEOPLE Sun Lotion SPF30 £22.00
It contains moisture-retaining ingredients to ensure your tan lasts, is water repellent and is rich in natural antioxidants and vitamins A, C and E – all these combine to help protect against ageing and cell damage.
THE GENTLE LABEL - Organic Healing Balm £12.25
This is always in my handbag, it’s 100% natural, organic Healing Balm is gentle enough for all the family. Soothes cracked, dry and inflamed skin. Heals minor burns, scalds and cuts. It also relieves bites, irritations, sores and bruises and it can be applied anywhere on the face and body, including eyelids and lips. Derived from papaya, Pawpaw is a natural alternative to chemical exfoliants. It contains the enzyme papain which gently removes dead skin cells to allow new ones to surface, perfectly prepping skin for the anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties of Calendula.
